Hot Reboot app cuts reboot time in half for Android phones

Works pretty well.

Without it: after confirming reboot it takes 40 seconds to shutdown and 1:30 to go from boot animation to home screen for a total of 2 minutes and 10 seconds.

With it: 15 seconds between confirm and shutdown, and 45 seconds to go from boot animation to home screen for a total of 1 minute.

So it does cut it in half.

good find. gotta test it out. Can't help but wonder what processes it's cutting out to speed the whole thing up. Mite not be healthy for the CPU.

I haven't tried it yet, but what it does is not bad for your phone at all. Rather than completely shutting down Linux and then restarting Linux and Android, it just restarts the Android shell. Reportedly.

I love this app for my Incredible I use it during the day if I need a reboot.
