Root RSD Lite - sbf issue

I'm running Windows 7/64bit, I have RSD Lite 4.7 with patch and the .sbf extracted from the (Bomb) original Verison Droid-2 issue. RSD Lite recognizes my phone both in PC Mode and in bootloader. When I select the .sbf it will open the file ok, but never activates the start button to start transfer.
Any suggestions or help:eek:

Is your phone connected in PC mode?

On your notification pull-down, do you see "usb connected" and "usb debugging?"

If you don't try changing your connection mode between charging only and PC mode...IRRC, you need to see both usb connected and usb debugging on the pull-down for RSD lite to connect properly.

If you don't have USB debugging turned on, that's in Settings>Applications>Development - that is required to use RSD.

I don't think that's your issue, but wanted to rule it out.

Could also be a usb driver issue...

It is odd that it won't connect in bootloader mode...that should "just work." Been 100% reliable for me on D1 and D2.

I'm on XP Pro 32, however, and haven't followed up on how Win7/64 plays w/the Droid and RSD Lite.

There is a RSD Lite 4.8 out. You could try that. http://www.multiupload.com/R79AA2QBGB

Well, RSD 4.8 did not help. It recgognizes the phone, shows device properties and still no active start button in PC mode or bootloader. The Moto driver I am using is 4.6.0 64 bit?? One thing I did notice is that USB debugging disconnects when I switch to PC mode, it connects in mass storage and even in charge only but not in PC mode. ANY suggestions? Anyone else having issues with Win 7 x64?

This might be a dumb suggestion but I had a similar problem and I tried it in another usb port and it worked...also, make sure that usb debugging is allowed.

After a lot of web browsing, I found and downloaded RSD Lite 4.9. It worked for me as is except for one issue, it only recognized the main sbf. It allowed me to flash the original rom and go through the activation and set up process to get my D2 going again, but as I said, it did not recognize the secomd sbf that came in the unbrick your phone folder. Any idea what's in it or why it would recognize one and not the other? Anyway I rerooted and reinstalled my backup so I guess all is well for now.
I found RSD 4.9 here

I wondered what the second SBF does...so you haven't noticed any issues running without it?

I too had a (different) RSD issue a couple days ago, and when reading I discovered that the USB ports that are attached to the motherboard (typically in the back on a desktop) do better for these type of transfers, as many people have problems using the peripheral ports (on the front)

Just an FYI

And yes:
Debugging
PC (I can't get debugging in PC Mode), USB mode, OR bootloader connect (in my experience)
Make sure you update those drivers successfully

You should be good
