Root Droid x on 2.3.13 market problem

Hey everyone,

I've looked through the forum and searched online, but I can't seem to find out how to fix this. I currently have 2.3.13 on my droid x and I don't want to update to the official ota until an SBF is released. However, I don't have the full market on 2.3.13. I know that I can fix this by editing the build.prop so that my phone looks like a droid 2 to the market, but it seems that I should be able to edit it so that it looks like the official ota for the droid x. Does anybody know what I need to do to the build.prop to do this? Alternatively, does anyone have a build.prop from the official ota that you could upload?

change the section that says:

ro.build.fingerprint=verizon/shadow_vzw/cdma_shadow/shadow:2.2/VZW/23.15:user/ota-rel-keys,release-keys

to

ro.build.fingerprint=verizon/voles/sholes/sholes:2.2/FRG01B/45394:user/release-keys

This fixed most of my market issues, however, I can't find Google voice or google maps on the market. Do you know what could be causing this? Also, the fix you gave me is not the one from the new official ota 2.2 because I had seen that in a post back in August.

Would anyone mind posting the build.prop from the official ota?

Just download Rom Manager from the market. You can easily flash market fixes through the "download roms" section. Its not a whole rom, but you can flash update.zips for market fixes with various options.

Doing the thing through Rom manager didn't fix my problem. When I search for US bank I get the normal number of results, but I still can't find google voice or google maps in the market. Does anyone know why this is? I installed google voice through an .apk I found when the new version was leaked, but I haven't installed updates to maps except through the market.

Is there a system dump of the official ota somewhere. If I can look at the official build.prop, I might be able to figure out on my own.

wow that's definitely strange...the buildprop edit I posted earlier worked for me...Hopefully somebody will have an answer for you
