Friends,

Just a reminder as there have been several call quality concerns of late. Please don't forget to do a *228 option 2, as there has been a prl update since the DX first came out.

Also, to folks first getting the phone, make sure you do it, as well, to be sure to have the latest.

It makes a difference. /end public announcement. Carry on!

Steven :)

Steven, How about creating a sticky "Things To Do When You First Get Your Droid X" or get lekky to add some "first things" into his sticky.

Just a thought.

Doing periodic PRL updates is something that really transcends any one particular smart phone. This is something that would be prudent for us all to do no matter what phone we carry... :D

+1 for being right on. -1 for the use of the word "prudent"

so the grand total is ZERO! :p

Never had any issues with call quality what-so-ever, but I went ahead and did this anyhow. It said I was updating my roaming capabilities... so does this only effect call quality while out of your area?

no, it is a software update that connects you with any new tower in the VZW system, so... you tend to get better service with the newer PRL updates. I hope this answers your question.
