My Battery Life is Improving.

It is currently 14:20 EST. My phone has been off of it's charger since 07:30 with Bluetooth and 3G running this whole time and I am still above 90%. I've sent a few text messages, I've browsed a few sites and I still have excellent battery life.

Over the past couple of weeks I have noticed that my battery has gotten progressively better and just wanted to share this with people who are disappointed with their intial battery life. :)

That isn't necessarily BS. I've read quite a few horror stories about poor battery life but I haven't run into that problem myself. I have 3G and Bluetooth on always and get similar results. I can't bring my phone in to work, so it stays out in my car for 8 to 9 hours with no use and it tends to be at 80-90% when I get out to the car after my shift. One thing that seems to help is using advanced task killer to knock out all background apps before going in to work. Naturally on my days off when I use the phone fairly heavily throughout the day it's hollering for a charge by bedtime. But so far I haven't had to put in on the charger in the middle of the day. I have the alarm clock dock and I just drop it in there when I go to bed and wake up with a full charge.

well yah 7-8 hours of idle time is easy to swallow, the phone is doing nothing. but throw in any phone calls or txt messaging and it's like trying to swallow a sand covered basketball.

There was no BS involved. I took my phone off the charger at approx 07:30 yesterday and at the time of the posting, my battery meter had only just gone from 100% full to the next step down which is, IIRC, an indicator that it was hovering at or above 90%.

Again, I had sent and received 5 -6 texts and browsed out to a couple of sites. I had also left Bluetooth on but it was not connected with anything.

Maybe it was a fluke and maybe my battery meter was inaccurate but I was only reporting what I saw.

are you using battery widget or looking at the battery indicator in the notification bar? if you are looking at the stock on that thing is not accurate, you need battery widget it will tell you where you are really at.

The stock value under:

>Settings > About > Phone status

...is not accurate? If not, where would a widget pull its info from?
