Root How to remove certain apps?

Root explorer is a great app that can remove anything you want. One tip though is to not get over zealous and remove stuff you dont know what it does. Root explorer is a great tool to have on a rooted phone. Sometimes it takes a reboot to have the app completely gone. Everything that root explorer does you can also do via ADB (if its all setup). Hope this helps

Rooted running LFY 1.7 and I am wondering how to remove a few apps that I dont need...Trying to remove stuff like car/home, corporate email, facebook, news and weather, twitter, etc...

Do I need an app?

Thanks in advance!

Here's the scripts list for LFY 1.7, type these commands into "terminal emulator' (free app) to run them. These scripts include the most common apps people like to remove.

apps2sdoff - all apps will be installed internally
apps2sdon - all apps will be installed to your sdcard
blockads - blocks ads from apps
chkrec - checks to ensure a fully working recovery is flashed
compcache - start, stop, and stats to control compcache
cpuinfo - displays current clockspeeds and cpu information
godmode - permission to system so any file manager may access root
reboot - reboots your phone
recovery - reboots into recovery
rmbrowser - removes stock web browser
rmcarhome - removes car home
rmdeskclock – removes desk clock
rmemail - removes stock email app
rmfacebook - removes Facebook from system/app
rmgeniewidget - removes genie widget (news and weather)
rmlauncherpro – removes launcher pro
rmlivewallpapers - removes live wallpapers
rmmototorch – removes mototorch led
rmpandora – removes pandora radio
rmtitaniumbu – removes titanium backup
rmtwitter – removes twitter
rmyoutube - removes YouTube app
showads - shows ads from apps
soundoff - turns off camera shutter sound
soundon - restores camera shutter sound
sysrw - mounts system as read/write
sysro - mounts system as read/only

so to remove email, in terminal you would type

su
rmemail

Other apps can be remove by getting the paid version of titanium backup, or downloading root explorer from the market. In root explorer, the app file names are found in either /data/app or /system/app. You would set the files as r/w and you can either just delete them, or run these commands in terminal.

su
rm /(data or system)/app/(file name, ex. Launcher2.apk)
pm uninstall (file name, this file is found in settings>applications>all)
