On my plan I have 500mb internet usage & unlimited push email.

I currently use K9 to get my mail from 2 POP a\c's but the downloads from these come from my 500mb data rather than the unlimited push allowance.

Is there anyway to change this?

Maybe it is I don't know.

It just seems pretty pointless to have it on the plan if 99% of people don't use it.

When I had a BB, my email was on push & didn't use any of my data allowance & I had the same 2 POP addresses which incidentally 1 of which is a wanadoo address which is part of Orange!

I did some digging in the Orange support pages and found THIS

It looks like you can have upto 3 POP email accounts pushed to your phone, if you have the "Email on my phone" service. Looks like you start by sending a text to Orange and they reply with a link to Orange World where you enter your POP account details.

Here's what the support section says...

"What is the 'email on your phone' service?

This service allows you to send and receive email messages on your handset from up to three of your personal email addresses – one of them can be your Orange email address. Whenever one of your email addresses receives a mail, we'll forward it to your Orange phone as a multimedia message (MMS) for you to read and reply."

After getting a random SMS from 247 telling me 'not to forget that I can use WAP PUSH email' I hit the same problem. Subscribe, Continue, then nothing.....

OK, so I get PUSH email via Gmail app & Exchange Mail; works just fine - however, this takes from my Internet data allowance.
OrangeWorld WAP is FREE as it converts emails to MMS, therefore not taken from data allowance = BONUS!

As I'm on Dolphin plan, I should be entitled to it and so, having read as much as possible, tried everything I could think of, manually setup my APN as shown on rather hard to find OrangeWorld page & many other things, I dialled 150.

Nice bloke on the other end (TechSupport) checked things out, found several Error Messages relating to the failed sending of the automated SMS & modification of account to allow WAP emails... but nothing he tried resolved it.
He called me back a couple hours later and asked me to try with Desire HD #2 & we got same thing happening with that handset as well.

He recalled a similar issue (was 99.9% certain it was same thing) that supposedly was 'globally fixed' some time back & so has forwarded all these details to 'next line' for investigation - maybe they overlooked something when rushing to release HD & Z?.

Will update as & when....

I too can't get past Subscribe, Continue. I'm simply told that there is a technical error. Has anybody been able to sort this? I really want to use the "Email on my phone" service, but there just seems to be no hope of that at the moment (I emailed Orange yesterday, but have had no reply).
