Steel Browser ( WITH SOFT KEY)!!!

I'm guess I'm not as impressed as everyone else with this browser.

The rotation is the only thing I like about it. It takes long enough to start up that I thought there was an issue.

The softkeys are barely responsive to me. I have to tap the back/forward/bookmark buttons 2-3 times to get them to respond.

I just tried typing my name and the keyboard is too small for me -- and I don't have big hands by any stretch of the imagination.

**update**

Still not a fan. I'm trying to type in "icanhascheezburger.com" and the "e" "r" and "w" aren't working correctly. I'm tapping "R" and it's doing that blowup "R" but it's not typing anything. Keep trying, keeps blowing up, but not typing the "r". Sometimes it's typing the "E" instead. Keyboard needs to be way bigger and have bigger keys before it'll be useful for me.

this was not expected,, On screen keyboard -- auto rotation,, SWEET!!!

My Wish List,, is a true 360 degree rotation,, as of right now we can only rotate in 2 position (180 degrees)

I always thought - why would the G1 have 2 vibrating engines... maybe for proximity touch or to make things feel more realistic and balanced - so now we are "getting" it :)

Anyone else have their bookmarks randomly deleted?

Yes, my bookmarks have vanished a few times now. It never happened before the latest update, which is a shame cause the latest update really fixed everything else that was keeping me from using it over the standard browser. Losing my bookmarks is a big deal though. I'm sure it will be fixed quickly.

How did you update?

If you went Market>search>Steel>install, that will always dump all your user settings/data. If you just browse the market and install, same issue.

It seems the only way to do updates, and keep your user data is to go Market>My Downloads> and then scroll through the list to the program that needs an update. "Installed" programs are all up to date, "Free" programs are either programs you uninstalled, or programs that have an updated waiting.
