Help headset answer/end button?

I have a Blue Parrot B250-XT bluetooth headset,.. it connects to my Ally just fine, when the phone is set to auto-answer it works just fine,.. however, when I push the answer/end button while not on a call, it does nothing,.. I would expect it to activate voice dialing, as it has on other phones I've owned,.. how can I achive this action?

I consider myself tech savvy,.. hell, I've hacked my xbox, soldering in the mod chip, and all,.. I've several certs under my belt,.. I've been use'n linux since '96,.. I did freelance programming for a few years,.. and yet this phone makes me feel like an idiot,.. the manual is so increadbly vauge,.. so the ambarassed idiot in me still has to ask, how do I enable voice?

I'm having the same problem with my bluetooth headset, which makes it much less convenient than it was with my old LG Dare. I'm pretty sure I have voice enabled -- I can use voice commands thru the headset once I touch the speaker on the phone screen, or the "voice dialer" icon (which I believe I got from the market.) The only thing I seem to be unable to do is INITIATE a call using the buttons on the headset. Normally I hold the button until two beeps sound, at which point a voice would say, "Please say a command." I could then say "Call Bev," or whatever. Now, even though I hear the two beeps, it doesn't prompt me for a command, nor does it hear me if I give one. I have to actually turn on the voice command by pressing something on the screen before it will hear me, and even then, it wants me to confirm my command by pressing one of several choices after I give it one. :-(

Anybody have any ideas?

That is exactly my problem,.. as I'm now driving a tractor trailer the phone is compleatly unusable 90% of the day w/o the headset answer/end button,.. while I have this week off (3 weeks o n/1week off) when I'm on the road, I constantly on the phone conferming appointment times, directions, family calls,. It is a nesessity that the headset button works,..

Just spent the last 40 minutes on the phone w/ verizon,.. I was told,.. there is no way to initate a call with the answer/end button on a bluetooth headset, with any android phone,.. so as I only got this phone 3 days ago, I'm take'n it back to the local verizon store,..

Yikes! I'm hoping this is one of those times that the verizon people don't know what they are talking about, because this is kind of a big deal for me too.
