tried download a few app to try, same result.

restarting the phone for a few time.
take out sim card, battery and memory card.
off 3g and use wifi.
clear market cache.

still cannot install app.

anyone can assist? what is wrong with it.

how do i need to install that? do u mind to teach? i dont see any apk file in download folder.

There is some issue indeed since you cant see the file. Infact now I remember that files from market dont go in download folder. Sorry for wrong info.

If you have a apk in your phone. For ex- some free app downloaded from pc. Then you just need to click it via "my files" and it installs itself.

You can try doing a factory reset. It will delete your phonebook, messages, any accounts configured or any apps installed.

BUT it will not delete the stuff you have in your SD card memory the one which is around 14 GB.

that would be a pain to see all my installed app gone.
is there another way to do it beside resetting to default settings?

I dont know what could be causing the issue but hang on for a day maybe someone else can answer it. Formatting/resetting is always the last resort when nothing works!

Though if the situation arrives I guess there are apps which can back your application. Though I am not sure whether they would back its settings also.

Probably. Personally I feel it is more pain to visit a service centre. If they know what exactly is causing it then they may help otherwise they may suggest to reset it as in that case they wont have to do anything.

If losing apps is only the issue which is keeping you from resetting than maybe you can try "Astro file manager". Its free and it can backup all your applications at once! But you might lose the settings inside the apps and have to set it again. I am not sure about that.

But then the issue is how would you install Astro in the 1st place since your Android market doesnt't install apps!! If you decide to do it though you can most probably find an APK on the net and since its free there should not be any issue.

Again you can try and wait for a day to see if anyone else can be of any help. :)

EDIT: Astro or some other softwares can backup almost all apps with 1 click but when installing you would have to select each app manually to install which can be painfull depending on the no. of apps.
