there's an update all & checkmark in the Market now...

Jus saw this so I thought i'd give evry1 a heads up.. I thought that was gonna be a Froyo thing but obviously not... each app now has a checkmark to be auto-updated & in ur downloaded apps there an "update all" button...

Hit the settings button while in the market. Then click download and you'll see the update all button once it loads up.

I can't see it, are you rooted ? have you installed another ROM?

I see it. Click on any app, you'll see an automatic update checkbox afterr you click any app.

I noticed this today to. I wonder if they are trying to sneak a update in. Then again idk cause my friend has a Hero and it's not rooted and they noticed this change as well on it. I find that a little strange.

If u don't hav anything to update then u won't see it(@least the update all button)..

but if u go to the indivual apps u'll see the checkmark... & this has nothing to do with root...

These are all the menu options within the market, and I just updated two apps:

Main market screen: Search button, Apps, Games, Sprint.
Menu button from main screen: Search, Downloads, Help

Downloads screen: just the search button, no checkboxes or anything.
Menu Button in Downloads: Search, Help, Home, Notifications

Press & Hold App: Details, Open app, Uninstall

App Description: Open, Uninstall
Menu Button in App Description: Search, Downloads, Help, Home, Security.

Think we need to see some screen shots.

Not everyone has gotten the update, including me.

I have a couple of apps that need updating right now and I'm not seeing it...Here is what I am seeing though.

it's a shame when you try to be smug and you're just wrong. Both screen shots are from 2.1 devices. The first taken from android central's article. I even mentioned I had two updates that day and didn't see it. So unless you work for google, get a clue. Even the android central article said not everyone has gotten it.

Is this going to be an obvious update sent? Or will it just automatically update the market and whatever else and go unnoticed?

I actually just found this:

It should happen like the sprint change when we got the sprint icon and downloads moved to a menu choice. That was an annoying and inconvenient change. Outside of hitting it once out of curiosity it gets no play, and I wish downloads was back in it's place.

Going in and out of the market hasn't done squat to speed it up over the last two days. Even foce closed it and gone back in.
