Root Cannot update Wimax...

Using Clockworkmod recovery, I flashed the HTC OTA Froyo 2.2 Final (3.26.651.6) Odexed ROM from here. I also flashed the Radio update as well as the Wimax update.

The first two seem to work, since I see Android version 2.2 and Baseband version 2.15.00.07.28 in phone info. I downloaded the latest Wifi Tether for Root, installed it and got it to work successfully.

However, the Wimax was not updated. Android Terminal Emulator still shows the older version "4.6.2.2v25641_" and not 26023. I believe I did the flashing correctly, rebooting after each update. I tried it both with ROM Manager, as well as manually. I didnt see any issues/errors while flashing.

What is wrong?

I did try another Wimax update zip from another site (not sure if it's any different because although the filename is different, the file size is the same). And then I also tried the combo zip package that includes the Wimax/PRI/Radio updates.

None worked.

Which combo package? You have to have S-Off (that's Unrevoked Forever) for some of them to work. At least I did. I tried them on Unrevoked 3 and they didn't work, and then I did Unrevoked Forever, tried again, and everything went on fine.

If you don't have S-Off and you're using that combo package, there's your first problem. It says right at the top of the post you need S-Off.

You have to have S-Off (that's Unrevoked Forever) for some of them to work. At least I did. I tried them on Unrevoked 3 and they didn't work, and then I did Unrevoked Forever, tried again, and everything went on fine.

I used unrevoked3 for my root and I just checked my bootloader and it says S-OFF. I've never run Unrevoked Forever. It's my understanding that unrevoked 3.21 removes the need to run unrevoked forever.
