Best deal by far: T-mobile. plus rant

exactly...I'm with a T-mobile reseller....60$$ bucks a month gives me unlimited everything...data, minutes, Texts, and i can even tether..

Of course i had to buy the Phone...Which i Paid 300 $$USD for.

I had the same plan with tmobile and it was about 110 months...

So it's a big savings for a premium plan like this..

If I get the phone through t-mobile, will I have to wait ages for updates? If the phone is locked to a network I guess I have to wait for the network to fiddle with any official updates before they let their customers have it. Is there any way around this?

Well first of all define "ages". Everyone has different timescales for this

Take into consideration things here. If there is an update firmware wise to the Desire HD and you have a BRANDED handset, HTC will release it on for unbranded first and then give a network operator version after for them to test and then send out.

So answer 1.5 (lol i know, but still), if its locked, you will have to wait for HTC to update the ROM with for the unbranded phones and then wait for your network version after.

Any way round it?..Yeah..It's called buy it unbranded or sim free/unlocked lol.
