well needless to say my battery life is crappy. I can't go a full day without charging my phone. Everything that syncs is set to manual, I have no social networking set up. No live wallpaper, my static wallpaper is mostly black as well to conserve more battery life. Now I went and checked setting to see what is using battery and the biggest culprit is cell standby. If it isn't the top one, it is the 2nd on the list (behind display, only when i'm using the phone, when the phone is off, cell standby will creep back up).

Now the signal on my phone will fluctuate between 1-4 bars all day, and the signal db will go from 81-101db during the day. Now on the other hand my "time without signal" is never more than a few percent.

Is cell standby a battery hog, anyone have a list of stuff that makes that run high. I just did a factory reset so I'm gonna test that.

I can't go a full day without charging my phone, that's with moderate use.

It's still a few hours longer than I could go with my HTC Incredible, though, so I'm way happy.

I have *no* idea how people are getting 15-18+ hours given the usage they claim. I can maybe make it 12, if I'm lucky and I tone back usage.

I wish I knew too, I only use my phone for browsing websites, and they are mostly mobile websites as well and when I'm browsing, I'm going down 1% every minute. I've done everything possible to scale back use outside of not using the phone at all.
