Hi Guys:

I've a Eken M002 Android Tablet. I've the Firmware 1.7.4. I want to upgrade to 2.0.

I've downloaded the firmware (about 150MB).

This firmware have all drivers of my Tablet.

Can i take this firmware and customize it? I mean, change boot logo, remove few programs and change the home plugin by my own app?

I need to install this firmware into 10 Tablets.

Its possible? I need few tools?

Thanks for your tips

If it's anything/same as the Android phone software.

In your ROM go to System/customize/resource to change the bootanimation.zip

In system/apps just right click delete on what apps you want gone.

It will probably ask you if you want to update the archive or something like that when you change something, click yes.

"go to System/customize/resource" ...

I need to do this in the Windows Explorer? Or i need a tool to edit the firmware?

That's the thing, you kinda have to know what your doing or you'll break things.

I don't know if you can downgrade, I haven't even seen an Android tablet in my life haha.

Try to re-download the firmware and do things bit by bit. Change a little, flash it, make sure everything works, and so on.

If for some reason you can't get it working, I could probably put something together for you.

hey,

I have Eken 001, and a similar problem.
I would like to add files to a zip file, after adding them in a folder, but after installing the rom do not run these applications.
files are added to the system-app.
I do not unzipped the folder.
I use 7zip to do so.

sorry for my poor English.
I use a translator Goggles

After add files to folder, you need to change the scriptcmd file.
