I installed MyLookout last night cos I read about it in another thread. It found an 'autorun.inf' so I quarantined it. Had a google search on it and got loads of hits but in normal google style, too much really. Anyway, I am running a virus scan on my net book too which is the pc that it is connected to, hopefully nothing sinister found but will report back.

Should I be hugely worried?!

well, since it's running a open source OS, Virus might be a worry. Since you don't know the intention of the programmer that make it. It's important to verify the background and the rating of an app before downloading it. I won't say that it's completly useless but i've seen cases of apps (banking) that were viruses (type keylogger) and tried to steal user infos. You're never too safe with computers these days.

Here is one for Super Security

They all do roughly the same thing but each one has a feature the other does not, I ran all 3 on my X10 with no issues or lagging :)

So the fact that I have quarantined it... is that going to cause problems? OK so I am back to being a newbie...

MyLookout also found autorun.inf on my phone when I installed it 2 weeks ago, and I also quarantined it. Havn't noticed any problems since, and my phone stills connects to USB problemless (I don't know if that's actually a word, but it makes sence :D) So I wouldn't worry :)
