Help calender has double Birthdays

As the title says really, as from tomorrow, all my facebook friends birthdays are showing as double, all birthdays pre today are still showing as single.... Now i really do need a fix to this, cos it is gonna cost me a packet if i have to get everyone double gifts and cards.....

If anyone know what this anomaly is, could you please share the fix...

I dunno but I did notice that since 2.2, everyones birthdays that are trawled from facebook are a day late! Strange....

Are you syncing your Desire with PC or server.

I use Outlook for calendar and contacts and exchange server for my Outlook mail.
I had the contacts and calendar ticked on the exchange server sync settings, which showed all my calendar appointments up twice and my contacts twice.

Take a look
MENU -> SETTINGS -> ACCOUNTS& SYNC see if you have 'Exchange ActiveSync' in there. If you have take a look to see if you have boxes ticked for syncing with calendar.

After checking accounts and sync, i see that i have facebook/google/news/twitter/weather There is no "exchange ActiveSyce there...... I cant understand it though.

I even went back to June, and it's showing them as double too, but the other day when i noticed that they were all double, it only went back a few days, the ones in june/july etc were all normal, but now this.......

I have solved this problem if anyone els is suffering from it. The problem seemed to be caused by titanium back up, it has backed up my calender entries therefore when i have restored all apps + user data it has doubled the birthdays up..... so i have just done a full wipe installed another rom, but on titanium restore, i just chose to restore missing apps with data. My calender birthdays are now all singular

I am doing no such backup and restore, have double entries for Facebook birthdays. Any updates?

Hey, I can better double birthdays. After trying to sync (with HTC Sync?) my Outlook calendar had several birthdays and anniversaries moved to other parts of the year and some entries had been triplicated (alos on teh wrong dates). No idea what's going on - HTC Sync, CompanionLink or what?

I had all sorts of problems with HTC Sync. I removed it and am now using MyPhoneExplorer which doesn't create duplicates for me and unlike HTC Sync works fine on multiple PCS. There are separate downloads for MPE Android and MPE PC. You need both but they are free.

Agree - MPE is an excellent application. It's the only thing I've found that works for me at the moment.

I sorted a similar issue by going to menu/settings/applications/manage applications/all, finding the callendars storage and clearing the data.

as long as you have your phone set to sync callendars with google, it will then re-sync and you should just have the one event in your calendar.

I have just noticed that i have this problem again (double events) and it is a fresh install of the rom, so my last fix doesn't apply here..... I have done what you suggested, now i don't have any facebook birthdays i'm hoping that they will sync again though.....
