Hi all,

I've been working on a new kind of math puzzle game only for Android. Try it out and tell me what you think!

NumNom (Free!) - Android app on AppBrain

The game is all about making sets of numbers that add up to "the target" (changes depending on the game # -- like freecell). I suck at any kind of graphic design, so sorry there are no "magical sparkly's"! I still think the game is really fun, and most of my friends (who are cool enough to use Android) seem to love it.

Let me know what you think! I'd love to hear real feedback from people I don't already know. Oh, and if you have questions about Android development or selling apps on the market, ask away.

It's a nice and simple concept. I could see myself using this as one of my puzzle games when on the bus. Two things come to mind after playing a little bit with the game:

1) A mute option would be good. I generally play these games around other people (such as on a bus) and don't particularly want my phone to make sounds.

2) Scoring and ranking are good ideas, but perhaps there might be other ways of encouraging users to compete, but not specifically on a per puzzle level. I don't have any great ideas right this moment, but I'm almost leaning towards maybe ranking on puzzle sets (such as a score for puzzles 1 - 10 or 1 - 100)?

Or maybe some sort of overall score taking into account variables such as average score and number of games played. Kind of like a career ranking but not weighting it too heavily on puzzles completed.

Thanks for the feedback & downloads guys! :)

Scrav, quick question...

1) A mute option would be good. I generally play these games around other people (such as on a bus) and don't particularly want my phone to make sounds.

#1 did you get to play when I had the global high score list re-enabled? (the one that you get to from the main page? -- i had to take it down because of the large influx of users; fixed it last night).

#2 so i pushed an update that allowed for vol+/vol- to change the media volume and lowering it enough effectively mutes the sound. is this what you meant, or do you want a settings menu with an explicit "mute sounds" setting?

I will definitely be adding more of both, but was just curious :) because I have heard the 2nd one with a lot of people and was wondering if using the dedicated volume+/volume- was not a standard way of doing this.

thanks again!

i'm working on a feature that lets you choose what target #'s you want in the settings (for example, you will be able to check say... 16 and 18 to only play games with those targets -- the default for the paid version is target numbers between 13-20).

should be done soon! keep any other ideas coming please :) tell your friends! :D

i have bought the game! awesome fun! do you think you can incorporate timing? i mean the faster you finish the more points you get?

I've been trying to avoid timing in this game mode to keep it pretty casual. I will be adding more game modes in that will have some timing components though! :D

Thanks for the support! Please tell your friends! (more users = more fun!)

I added an update tonight that lets you choose the Target Number(s) that you want in the settings ("make groups of X").

Hope you guys like it :)

Sounds good! but i generally prefer a random target number.. makes it more interesting! but yes.. its always good to have an option! who knows.. someone may not want to play unlucky number 13! :D

Update: added a "restart level" button to the in-game menu (so that you can restart over if you have a bad score going).

Thanks for the support! :)

any more reviews?

I downloaded this game about 3 weeks ago. It has become one of my favorite games. It remains challenging and fun despite multiple plays.

I see someone mentioned earning more points based on time. I like this game because it isn't timed. It gives you time to think which to me adds to the strategy.
