Audiogalaxy has finally open the floodgates and is allowing sign ups to their cloud streaming service. It's free and for android. You download their app to your phone, as well as the client for your computer, which scans your music collection in the designated folder and allows you to stream it to your phone.

So far, it works great! It has some mis-tagging issues (it'll auto-tag on the website, which won't affect your actual files), and playlists are limited to 500 at the moment (which only bugs me because my favorites playlist on my now-dying Zune is well over 500 tracks) but the developers are taking all the feedback and are hard at work. This is the best service of its kind so far, I dare say.

I signed up a few weeks back with no problems at all. I wasn't even aware they closed signups. Got in just fine like a month ago.

This app is really really good though. Free and it streams your collection (no saving on SD Card). Sounds good, and does not lag anywhere I have used it. I walk to school listening to any song I have. My library is 12000+ songs strong and it found them all. It refreshes any new editions very quickly as well. Couldn't praise this app enough.

I heard about it months ago, and the only thing they were offering was to add you to the email list to let you know when they open sign ups. I only got the email two days ago.

I guess I got lucky. I also heard from others that they were also added to waiting lists and such....dunno. No problem for me when I signed up a while back. OH well.

I never used subsonic, so I can't say. Gmote was always buggy and inconsistent for me. Audiogalaxy is far easier and more streamlined. I can't imagine subsonic to be any better.

I agree.....Audiogalaxy is pretty damn nice...and it is free. Detects new music very fast too after the initial library detection.
