Saw this posted, has anyone tried it out yet?

Yeah. It's still beta. Having wifi issues after sleep. There's no calender. The theme is off (there's lots of white text on grey background). It's also fast. It's nice because Rom chefs will have this as a base to build off of, but as of now it's still ... beta. Also, some blur apps are better than the AOSP equivalents. The AOSP camera, for instance, is meager. The blur alarm clock is better, and the blur music app has the lock screen widget built in. I also like the blur car dock better. Anyway, those are things I can add back to any future roms. This plus the 2.2 sbf is good news for X'ers. It's no unlocked bootloader, but it's very nice.

BTW, my Wifi doesnt shut off when the phone sleeps like that other guy. It works just fine.

Isn't shutting off wifi during sleep an option in the settings?

This while the closest we have to AOSP so far is still based on Motorolas build. In other words its still at some level based on Blur.

Obsidian will be built completely from source and not based on blur at all.

Yes, but with no blur at all.

The only issues I have came across so far is the low auto brightness, was already told there was a fix coming. Second is when I receive a call, the sliders are not correct, they appear weird.

Apparently, this was also built from source but infused with the critical blur elements needed to run on the DX. There was no blur to remove... apparently.

I have been running it all day, have all my apps set-up and it is running great. I have had it on for a few hours and just checked and have 160MB still available on this thing. No hang-ups not force closes. If anyone is looking for a change I would recommend it.

The only downside is for right now it looks like there is a concern if you want to apply a theme.

Final Fission will be out tonight. Also, this is an AOSP ROM not too far from Obsidian. It has no blur at all, but built off the stock Kernel. No Blur dialer, camera, etc. All built from source. I love this ROM and also Fab's ApeX. I find myself flashing my nandroid's back and forth between them.

So i just put 1.0 through its paces after using rc1 today. Both are fast. 1500 quadrant scores. I was getting 1400 in rubix.

Camera does not work for me.
Model says droid 2 and i get the droid 2 boot screen. Weird. The rc1 said droid x.
i wonder if I somehow got a hold of the wrong version?

Will post more as I play. Very pleased apart from camera not working.

i think fission was ported from the droid 2. but i could be wrong.
