• After 15+ years, we've made a big change: Android Forums is now Early Bird Club. Learn more here.

End of November for 2.2 now?

i think a petition is in order! or mass complaints?

I've had some success with TM complaints before.

I suggest anyone who is on TM and upset about this emails cust.rel@t-mobile.co.uk and specifically asks for their complaint to be passed to "Complaint Investigations".

I'm going to be stressing that I'm not bothered that we don't have Froyo, I'm bothered that we don't have fixes to serious issues like the GPS.

Will see what we can do.

This delay should only affect people with branded phones... ie. If when you boot your phone up you get a tmobile animation instead of the S that materializes out of shards then you will be held up.

If you have an unlocked / branded phone with the S that comes from shards on the boot up then you will get your update straight from Samsung with everybody else as normal.

I am on Orange UK and have an unlocked version and am postive that is the way it will go.

You're right and wrong. This will only affect T-Mobile phones but it's not to do with the branding, it's to do with the operator code.

Put the following code in the dialler *#*#1234#*#*

The CSC will be I9000XXXYYY Where XXX is your operator code. Mine is TMU, which is T-Mobile UK. This is despite there being no operator branding on my splash screen.

Right - that's my long complaint email sent.

CC'd:
DTMOB@t-mobile.co.uk (Richard Moat, T-M boss) - Bah - that one doesn't work any more
CSDIR@t-mobile.co.uk - (Russell Taylor Customer Services Director)
Tom.Alexander@orange.co.uk ("Everything Everywhere" boss)

Don't expect them to read the email or even necessarily get it but it often puts a little pressure on the complaints people to see the cc ;)
