Eris, Devour, Or D1

Im New To The Whole Android Scene And Was Deciding Between The Eris, The Devour And The Droid 1. I Know All Have Their Individual Pros And Cons. I Love The Whole Sense Set Up That The Eris Has, Disappointed The Devour Is Only Running 1.6 And Has No Plans On Updating This, And The Droid 1's Keyboard Is A Little To Sleek And Snug For My Tastes. As Most Of You Are Experienced With Androids, I Was Just Seeing Which Device You Would Recommend Through Personal Experience. Thank You In Advance For Your Help.:)

My Upgrade Date Isnt Until January 2012, So Im Kinda Stuck Right Now. I Really Want An Android Phone And From What Ive Seen Those Are The Only 3 That Are In My Price Range Used. So Ya, Those Are My Options Lol

Oh ok. So yea... ORIGINAL DROOOIIIID then.

Devour: DON'T EVEN BOTHER!!!
Eris: Eh... had this phone. As you can see i don't anymore because of continuous issues.
OG DROID: Vanilla Android and is still a beast!:D (maybe you'll get a good one. Last i check they only had refurbs left. which i went through 8 of. which landed me on a droid2.)

It's weird because I thought the Eris and Devour were discontinued.

Where did u see prices for those phones? The Eris and I believe the D1 aren't being sold by Verizon anymore. Not sure about the Devour.
I think I might have seen the D1 at Target, but not Verizon stores.
And even if they are, they probably won't be available in January.

What is your price range? Most are going to b about $199. If ur lucky ull get one for $99. Or $49 if the phone is on its way out.

How much did u see those phones for?

They are selling the OD as "certified like-new" on online VZW store i believe.

As a household who has both a D1 and an Eris I would recommend the D1. However if the weight and bulkiness of the physical keyboard bug you then look at an Eris. The Eris (if rooted IMO) isn't awful and is a nice entry level phone but the D1 is a workhorse and gives you tons of customization options. Keep your eye on craigslist like you have been doing. Here in Houston you can grab an Eris for $75 and a D1 for $150 but they do go quick.
