angry birds on android market!!!

i have the HERO...with CM 2.2 ...

I didn't see it either but they launched it on getjar first so its there if you want it, traffic was so big the site went down for a while

but it requires that I give him my cell number... so they can send a text to me with a link to download.

I have it but can't install it! Keep getting "Application not installed." I'm running 2.2 and so is my girlfriends phone and it went on hers fine... Same nightly too... Also installed on my moms moment perfectly. She absolutely loves it!

I also tried appbrain, ADB install, and using terminal. None of which worked. Wiping and reflashing to the newest nightly to see if it works.

When the send SMS with link comes up on GetJar, just read the last line on the popup box and click the link to download it to your computer.

The best way to sideload an app from the SD card is using a file manager app like the Astro File Manager. Simply click on the file, or put it in the 'sdcard/backups/apps' directory which the Astro App Manager that is built into the Astro File Manager uses for backup/restore.

When you DL to the SD you can then pull down the notification bar, choose the one that says download complete, then choose install. I use e-strongs all the time for stuff, but this is the easiest way I have found to install stuff that is downloaded to your phone's SD.

I downloaded for getjar. Took a couple tries. I'm not rooted running 2.1 but the color is messed up. A lot is the lamd is white so hard to go mountains.

I downloaded from getjar.com/angrybirds directly on my EVO easily and it worked like a charm but when I did it on my Samsung Moment it wouldn't download after 5 attempts. I ended up turning the WIFI on instead of network and it took the first time then. Be advised that you will get ads on this freebie.

dan330 if you look where it asks for your cell # there is a link that reads " you can also go to m.getjar.com on youur phone or download this app to your computer. that's a hyperlink just click it instead. Wow it's over a million downloads!

Every time I try to install on Hero from AndExplorer or Astro it says :
"Angry Birds could not be viewed. Free up some space on your phone and try again."

I'm Running 2.31 with about 40MB free space on internal Memory.

Pulling My hair out right about now!

i have a sprint hero... running CM2.2 with less than 30mb free.

I dumped the file onto my SD card and installed with Estrong File manager. It works just fine! pretty cool game!

guesing..
1. bad file.. download new file form a different location
2. try estrong file manager
3. go to newer version of ROM or different 2.2 ROM
4. get an iphone

I went to m.getjar.com and downloaded it. Downloaded and installed fine. I have 2.1, un-rooted.

I have the default 2.1. grabbed it from getjar. installed it with astro. runs like shit.

honestly, not worth it. framerate is sad. background graphics don't load. some foreground graphics don't load. looks and plays terribly.

sorry, this little machine ain't strong enough to run it... there's a reason it's blocked in the market for us HERO users.

It works, and its fun. Though I haven't played the IPhone version...... don't know what I'm missing visually.

EDIT: Yeah, it runs like crap overall. Its a much richer experience on my wife's Pre. Weird.

yeah... i am missing a lot of the extra visuals...
it is playable.. but makes me wish I can see all it!

The game seems to play fine on my hero; just have the white blocks instead of land.

I have the same thing on mine. Still very playable. I'm surprised it runs on this old hardware at all.
