This guy wants a Droid real bad

Did he win one? He might not be as dumb as you think, for less than $20 bucks he can get some stuff that will take that spray paint off with just a bit of elbow grease and now lasting damage to his car.

Not saying I'd ever do it but. If I were young, broke, really wanted a Droid and knew it wasn't going to have any permanent effect I might give it some thought lol! :D

very good point.

How to Get Spray Paint off a Car - wikiHow

I assume if he thought ahead at all, he picked the right kind of spray paint, and he video taped this and immediately had the tools ready to take it right off. If he already had this stuff, it could have cost him literally nothing to film this, and gave him I'd say a pretty good shot at winning a droid. Same as kricheck though, I'd never try it, but hey, maybe he has experience with spray paint removal and knew he could do it?

Could either be very intelligent and planned out, or as everyone else has already pointed out....very stupid. Guess we'll see if he posts on here from his new droid :p

... The phone is $200 and he does a lot more than that in damage. Crazy, stupid or maybe both.

Isn't the phone worth more than $200? That's the subsidized price. I think the actual phone is $500 - $700. Still not worth ruining a car.

BTW - you can buy a roll of transparent adhesive vinyl that is made for protecting vehicles for cheap - probably under $30. It peels right off. It would be difficult/impossible to spot it on a youtube video.

I was thinking something similar to this as well or even putting down a layer of petroleum jelly or something but I kept an eye on the refraction of light and his reflection off the paint as well as any edges or anything and couldn't finf anything out of the ordinary there.

He is not that stupid as you think,he's a smart-ass. The water base spray paint cost him about $6.00 and took about maybe 1/2 an hour to clean it up.The Droid cost about $600.00 and you do the math? They should asked him to scratch the words on the car with a sharp object, now that will be a different story. Then everybody would called him a MORON and his parents would have disowned the idiot.LOL"
Who have the last laugh now? He got everybody fooled!
At least it proof that people are willing to do anything beside killing themselves,...????,eating a Klondike bar, sleeping with Al gore, lol' and spray painted their car for a Droid. That show that the Droid rockssssssssssssss.
And I wonder anyone would do that for an Iphone, I really doubt it?
Motorola should make this a Droid commercial and somebody aught to tell them.
