Help Spontaneous Factory Reset?

I have experienced multiple spontaneous Fascinate reboots that leave the phone in its factory state.

Is anyone else seeing this? What could be causing this?

It is highly annoying to reinstall everything time after time...

sounds like something is defective, first i have heard of that myself.....make sure the sdcard is properly seated maybe?

Verizon is sending out replacement unit. Anything other than factory reset and SD card format I need to do to totally clean phone before sending it back?

I see that you're getting another device. I'd caution you about your apps, the ones that were in the unit which reset itself several times.

I'd install those apps one at a time and watch for trouble for a day or so before installing the next one. I'd be especially careful about any non-Market apps. Doing that can take a long time, but worth the effort and time, in my opinion.

Hey Metro1 ...

Has your problem been resolved with the replacement device? I just picked one up for my wife and it's spontaneously reformatted / factory reset itself three times today! We're probably going to take it back to Verizon tomorrow to swap it out if the snow plows clear the roads.

The only things we have running are ...
- E-Mail connected with Exchange ActiveSync to a Microsoft Exchange Server
- Google Maps
- Beautiful Widget
