Especially after uninstalling apps - always seems to leave empty folders on my SD card

Just connect your SD card to your computer via memory card slot or USB, and defrag it from there.

If it's the optimized sped you want, try clearing the cache on some of your apps, especially browser. A lot of people find that clearing the cache of the browser speeds the phone up A LOT!

SD card = NVRAM = NOT SUPPOSTA DEFRAG IT...

In my opinion, defrag isn't needed at all, unless you're the person who installs and uninstalls a lot of apps regularly

You Do Not Defrag SD Cards.
hard drives (the ones with spinning discs inside), floppies (if anybody is still using those) yes.
usb dongles, SD cards, memory sticks - NO. Why? first of all, there is no need to do that, second of all - you shorten the lifespan of such device - a lot!

defragmentation is meant for the devices that have spinning discs inside, to shorten the time to access required data and to read big files "in one line"

What is the point of doing that on a memory that is on a chip? data is accessed in the same time, no matter where (it which cell) it is located! files are spread all over the chips anyhow and windows defrag will fix nothing.

Defragging doesn't remove empty folders anyway.
