Hi
So all my contacts are saced in my phone. For some of them I have added facebook and/or twitter accouns, so Desire takes picture from twitter/facebook and use it as contact image and I love it, but using facebook or twitter pictures for contacts they are pixelated and in bad quality but if I use picture from my phone memory it looks great, why and what can I do?

so it's imposible to do anything?
also if I have photo in desire and I have facebook linked even if I chose to use photo from phone it uses facebook photo, why?

Thats just the way its set up, there is a way around it but its a pain.

What you have to do is make a new contact but put the contact type as PHONE not Google then insert the picture you want to use, dont put any name in or any other details, then click the save button, now go into the people app and you will see a contact called "unnamed", go in to that contact and then press the link button and link it to the facebook contact that its for. (whos picture you have put in there)

You should then get a nice non pixelated photo, the only problem is is that when they change their profile pictute it wont update on your phone.

Pete :)

If you're pairing it to Facebook/Twitter contacts directly then they should appear hi-res if you sync over WiFi - it was a bug in Android 2.1 that meant contact pictures were pixelated. I've not had the issue since being on 2.2

All my contacts are on my phone, I have paired (linked) them with Twitter and some of them with facebook, but I do get low-res photos and yes I use WiFi only. I have my phone for 4 days and it was stock 2.2 Android. Any ideas what's wrong?

I used to have this problem and think I may have found a solution. I thik its down to the quality of the persons facebook profile picture. For example, one of my friends had a really pixelated one, so I got them to change it to a higher quality one and not crop it aroud their face just to see. It worked. Once the contacts updated / resynced the blurryness was gone. So I think its just simply down to the profile picture quality :)
