Another question for battery life.

I've had my phone for maybe a week and a half... I think.

I have Zeam installed, Juice Defender/Plotter, Advance Task Manager - Paid (I'm giving Advance Task Killer a go for a while cause it kills when the phone screen is off, see if that helps), Start up Aduitor - Paid (but that is only to keep moxier and others like it at bay!) and I've got all the settings how they should be. Timescape only has photos, calls and messages, I've got nothing that syncs and the only widget I have left that might use battery is a horoscope widget (and I doubt it uses much) and maybe the gemini calender widget.

I'm lucky to get 12 hours. I'd like to know what I'm doing wrong since other have done the same thing and are getting more hours. My use of it can be anywhere from moderate to high depending on where I am and what I'm doing.

I had reformated the phone 3 times and after the 3rd was getting 53 hours then after I installed the battery defender apps it dropped to 24 hours and that was still great I could very happily live with that but then it dropped to 11-12.

I'm in the middle of discharging completely and then charging so I can't say if that will help but we'll see after a few more days. I'm almost thinking of getting one of those battery packs! but that defeats the purpose of having a slim-pocket-comfy phone.

Any suggestions?

Since ive stopped using juice defender and task killers i get 48 hours out of my battery with normal use. Thats quite a lot of texting, 2-3 calls a day, a fair bit of browsing either on 3g or wifi. I streamed an hour long tv episode to it the other day and it only lost 3% battery.

Only modifying app ive got is the startup auditor stopping moxier and face recognition from loading and im using helix launcher for my home screens.

This is after the OTA update though to R2BA020. Although before that i still got 24 hours out of the battery. Im more than happy with my x10 now :)

What is the name of the Startup Auditor you use and which are the face recognition program modules? This sounds like a good idea.

I am also happy with the battery life now after R2BA020. I do not use a task killer. I have my brightness at about 50%, turn on Wifi when I intend on browsering (this is more to manage my date costs with my carrier).

Cheers

Its just called startup auditor. It should be on the market. When it loads it has a long list of things running. One is called face recognition, just click in it and prevent it from starting. Ive done the same with moxier too.
