Widget Locker Question

Just D/L Widget Locker and have a few questions. How can I move where the sliders are? Next, I have a slider on the screen that I want to delete, how can I do this? Thanks.

I think that some of the sliders cannot be moved, for example the iPhone slider I believe will only show up on the bottom row, and the Sense slider takes the bottom two rows. I believe the WL slider can be repositioned. I think your only option is to set the slider mode to "no slider", and then add a custom slider by using the Add button from the menu. Then you can drag it wherever you have space.

BTW: Do you know if there is a way to "lock" that screen so nothing can be deleted and or moved?

In the settings menu there is an option to allow/not allow long press in lock mode. I have it set to not allow which removes the possibility to delete or move anything from that screen. The only slider I know of that you cannot move is the main slider at the bottom. It also cannot be deleted as far as I know. when you add a slider. You need to understand there is tool mode and lock mode. All settings are carried out in tool mode.

So in tool mode as follows:

menu/settings/look & feel/slider layout/no slider

Now you have no slider.

That said and done, I really fail to understand why people need or use this product. I know it's popular and I have tried to implement it, but I just don't get it.

I use it as it allows me to have playback controls for mixzing and last.fm on the lockscreen and to change the wallpaper to a different one to the other homescreens.

does anyone know how to set widget locker so it doesnt lock the screen when making phone calls. basically, anytime i get a call waiting i have to press the power button, unlock the screen and then i have the option to ignore or accept call. any help guys?

I use it because of how laggy the Droid X locker is. Hate the way the stock locker makes the phone feel.

for the sliders, if you Long Press on the slider, you can move it to wherever you want.

Do you know if you can change the functions of the bottom icons, namely the right one? Thanks!

Long press on the current slider, and toss it to the trash.
Long press on the screen, add "Custom Slider".....which brings you to a screen where you can completely customize the Left Slide, the Right Slide, and the center button, if you so choose

Menu>Settings>Behavior>Show In Call...make sure that is unchecked.

you dont actually want to get rid of it, it is recommended to leave it be so a task killer will leave it alone

I've removed it and not had a problem with WL being killed by the OS. Perhaps a 3rd party task killer might but that's more of a problem with the killer really. They don't seem to be liked on here anyway!

To turn off the notification bar icon, from tool mode:
Menu->Settings->Look and feel->Hide Notification bar

There are loads of options for WL. It's probably worth spending some time trying them and seeing what they do so you get it customised exactly how you want.

In my opinion, one of the most important options is to turn off the interactions. Not quite sure why you'd want the lock screen unlocked. Kinda defeats the point!

I use the 'No Slider' option to allow me to adjust the unlock slider to my needs. I have unlock on the left, HTC Torch in the middle and Toggle Interactions on the right.

As for why I use WL - it just seemed to be a waste of space not to! I have it showing a news feed, agenda, Handcent and gmail widgets. I can see what's happening without fully unlocking.

dude thanks for the help. unfortunately for me ive had the show in call unchecked already. still wont act as if widget locker was never there.

Yes, I am, thank you, I didn't realize Widgetlocker was causing the issue. I can't answer an incoming call (call waiting call) because of it. Can this be fixed?

I can answer an incoming call, just (call waiting call) does not work the WL screen just shows. Sort of weird because when I'm in a call and there is no one trying to "beep" in everything is fine. What I mean is I take the phone away from my face, it shows the call screen and I can press END call. Just call the call waiting is an issue. Anyone? THANKS!

I never changed anything under behavior - this started after I installed Widgetlocker. sandman512, yes, you and I are experiencing the same behavior. I can answer incoming calls, but not call waiting calls.

I want to update this thread because I think this is a critical issue in ref. to WL. Today, multiple times this messed me up. I want to point this out, while on a call, WL does NOT activate, BUT and I stress BUT when another call came in, I saw the screen show me who it is and then the screen LOCKED to WL. I really hope the developer can have a fix for this, because this is a deal breaker. I cannot believe no one else is having this issue or this is affecting them.

when i am on a call, and another call comes in, ill check that call and go to tell the person i am on the phone with ill call them back, and poof.... wont show me the incoming call, the current call, and then goes in to a loop of the lock screen to the unlocked screen. i usually just do a battery pull. i have emailed the dev a few times but never heard back.
