Help Error Msg on the Transform

new phone...but darn...keep getting "The application email (processcom.android.email) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again-Force Close.

I've shut down, pulled out the battery, and rebooted. Cleared Cache. Bout ready to reactivate my old Rant! Help? any suggestions? And yes, my first android phone.
 
Perhaps a hard reset would take care of this? I know Sprint recommends this usually. The unfortunate thing is that you lose all your apps/settings/contacts when you do this, but sometimes it's necessary when you first get the phone to rid your handset of buggy stuff that might happen early on. I've seen many instances with other phones (like the Epic) where a hard reset resolved issues folks were having with the phone out of the box.

Thanks for the response...I wasn't, but I installed last night at my son's recommendation. Great for closing open windows. But I still get the error message. Guess it's a trip to Sprint! Thanks so much!

Sorry I wasn't clear in my response before. Third party task manager/killer can create havoc if not configured right. That's why I asked.

Personally, I do not recommend using them at all.

Hard reset you can do in the phone...under privacy settings there is factory data reset....not a system reset but this erases anything you have done so far.....but you would do better to use a market 3rd party mail program as well such as k9 or maildroid....functions better than the stock one and a lot more customization and ability to add more accounts....
