Its good to read up on reviews but im very happy with my phone, i use it for hours every day and dont get bored, my only annoyance with it is that the battery is not exacly great, BUT this is a problem faced by all phones with these sized screens.

Great phone but I have no benchmark.

Hello Ahmed 2020. I have been using HTC Desire for three weeks now and I can say that this is really an amazing phone. It doesn`t only do everything but it does what I don`t expect from it. When I saw my Facebook`s and Gmail`s contacts and numbers in my phonebook I was stunned. The HTC Sense with 7 homescreens come very handy. I have 16gb Sd card in it, so all my movies, pics, music and android applications have their room. What about sound quality, then I do not use these earphones provided with the phone itself. I personally don`t like their sound. I purchased Denon`s professional in-ear earphones model: AH-C661K, so the sound is superb. Because the android player doesn`t have graphic equalizer, I downloaded MixZing audio player application from Android Market so I can adjust the frequenzies.. I personally recommend this phone. What about HTC Desire HD, it has a bigger screen but the pixels are the same. HD also drains battery faster. If you consider iphone 4 or desire, then I used iphone 4 for a week before buying desire... I love the Desire...

I have had the Desire for a cpl of weeks now. It had so much going for it, and I still love the phone. But one factor you should know, that I didnt know when I got mines, was there is not a lot of memory set aside for Apps, so you have to have a clear out of apps every so often. This annoys me. But I am still happy with the phone and wouldnt change it for any other phone. And the sound quality is great. Not used the headphones that came with it, I never do. I always use my Sony in ear headphones. And like taavikopli said, use MixZingif you want to be able to adjust the equaliser. Hope this helps.

sound quality: is loud, dont really know how loud you want it, but for a phone it can be loud!

headset: is loud, and clear

voice recorder: i dont really use, but if it's crappy then you can try getting a voice recording app as there are quite a few!

advantages (off the top of my head, google it and you should get more!):
- if ur a fan of social networking, then this IS the phone for u!
- internet is FAST
- sd card can go up to 32gb
- u can personalise it a hell of a lot
- forget what everyone says when comparing iphone apps to android apps, there ARE quite a lot of android apps, but u must consider the fact that android is still building itself up into the world of smart phones, and a lot of people would turn to the iphone first simply because of the media surrounding it.
- screen is big
- supports multi-touch
- a hell of a lot of other stuff! i can go on, but i cba lol

disadvantages:
- BATTERY! DX DX DX if u use it constantly, ur gonna need another battery, or ur gonna have to carry ur charger around
- keyboard is a bit hard to get used to, but i installed the app 'thickbuttons' so its easier for me as this is my first ever smart phone, and i've had it for 6 weeks
- im sure theres more, but these are the two main things!
