i made a big mistake

i had an Evo that i loved, but it was recently giving me problems keeping a 3g signal (i dont live where there is 4g).
i had it "serviced" a couple of times, and same thing going on.
all i wanted them to do was send me a new one and i would return the defective one. the ladt told me that this is not possible by phone anymore (since september). she did tell me, since i was having these issues and they are not resolved that i could get out of my contract without ETF. so i left and went with att to get the iphone 4 (which i must say that i hate so far!)
i have no google navigation, pdanet, notification light, the screen seems extremely tiny since i was used to having a tv in my pocket!

for all you people that are considering the switch.....DONT do it!
i might have to cancel within my 30 days and go back to sprint, or even verizon to get the driod x

But you forgot to mention that you get better 3g service with the iphone 4...:p

I canceled my contract with sprint prior to my 30 days being up. The issues the phone had were abundant. The only issue I had with my 3Gs were dropped calls (and it was a year old.)

To be honest there were things I liked about the evo and there were things I liked about the iphone, only good compromise is having both.

I miss having the ability to use the navigation on the evo but it was rare for me to be able to use google maps due to issues with the phone (I was supposed to have 4g coverage in DFW but it was rare that it actually worked.)

I recall someone saying Sprint was having network issues recently, so you might have cancelled prematurely.

So this doesn't matter at all...but I can't help but to be curious as to why you are hanging around the EVO forums still if you canceled with Sprint and got an Iphone4. It is just an interesting first post for somebody to make. No biggie, though.
