My friends G1 faster....

well today im in NYC at my cousins house. He has a G1, so I was toying with it , adding apps ans stuff for him. When all of a sudden I noticed how much faster and how less sluggish his phone is vs mines. His seems to be more resposive than my mytouch. Im a bit confused as to why. He really isnt a tech person so he has no task killers running or anything. When texting on his phone his keyboard was even more responsive.

Maybe there is something wrong with my phone , or something i am over looking to make it quicker and more like his g1.. Any ideas?

Well, you said he doesn't have apps like task killer, which slows down the phone a tad bit. How long has he been having his G1?

I know 1 hero, 1 stock touch, 1 rooted touch, 1 stockG1 and 2 rooted G1 owners. The only phone faster than any of the G1s, is the rooted touch. That thing is fast

I don't understand it either. I thought maybe it was the way each device processed information. I really don't have any idea anymore.

I have noticed before on my fiances g1 t hers is faster than my mt3g. The texting does seem a bit more responsive too. No idea why

Well i think it might be just cuz my fiances g1 was completely stock running on 1.6. Mine was on 1.6 as well but i also had more apps so ya that is going to slow things down.

Sometimes it is S/W bloat ... just like a new operating system ... new features, more power features, animation effects ... etc ...

All of these can take a more powerful machine and slow it down ...

Like a New Vista Ultimate laptop .. versus and old xpPro laptop ...

mine in point ... the xp beats the vista time and the Vista is dual core (x2)

even the difference between my rooted and stock G1 is very clear ...
root has better appearance UI but stock g1 trumps it in fast smooth movement between apps ...

i saw a tmobile vendor in wallmart , he had nexus one animated wallpapers on his phone, so there are ways to make phone faster and able to download things like that, im not tech wiz so im gonna get him to do my 3 g like his, ill pass on info, when he does, although when we get up date of 2.0 or 2.1 that should take care of lag of any kind,

Well, yeah, the Nexus one has a considerably faster processor and more ram. That's how you make things go faster.
