Root Exteranal Speaker not working, sending back to VZW, how to unroot

I've seen this asked a lot lately.. these Droids have self destruct mechanisms in them or something?

Anyways, go to the root guide thread. It's the only stick up there in this form. There's a link in it to the "Guide to all things root related" which includes instructions on how to flash a stock image to your phone.

Thanks that was easy . Its so frustrating having the phone and then it breaks out of the blue. Especially when now i have to get a refurb after paying full price originally. :-(

You might get lucky (or unlucky, depending on how you see it) and get a Droid 2, I've heard some people are being told that they're out of D1 refurbs and are receiving D2's instead.

How long have you had the phone, if you don't mind my asking? I've had mine since Launch Day and still no problems (knock on wood). Just concerned that maybe they're programmed to break at the one-year mark, the day after the warranty expires and yours went early

Not to be an ass, but maybe it has something to do with rooting it?
I'm just saying that maybe your phone didn't like the kernel or ROM you're running. I know with my Eris, that when I was running some ROMs, the audio would work for a little bit and then die. But this was fixed by simply flashing a different ROM. Just thought I'd add my 2

I got it in march 2010. So I can't speak to the one year .

Luck and I are enemies but hopefully he will be civil this time ;-) the tech didn't mention anything about it being a d2 so we will wait and see

No custom rom nor kernel. Rooted for wifi tether purposes . I also reset device to factory and same thing happened.

Wow, kinda makes me nervous to root my own droid lol, but im still trying to figure out if i really want to... haha
