This device may well be called something else as it's a generic Chinese made clone that does a lot of what iPad does, some good some not very. Bought it on the inenet for US$120 so I don't have high expectations. Problem is it didn't come with an instruction manual and I'm totally new to Android and iPad type things. Anyone out there that might have a link to or could forward me a manual that deals with this.

We'de need a bit more to go on to ascertain Which 7 in. Mid you ordered/received... perhpas the link you ordered from would be helpful and whatever it says in Settings- About device- Model num, Firmware, kernel, build ... as that will hopefully line up with something someone else has...

Thanks Link as follows
TomTop: $121.00 Arrival 7 Inch Touch Screen MID Ebook Reader ipad PC Google Android Wifi CEM004 New - Tablet PCs - Cell Phones / Tablet PCs

slowly working my way through the menus but the sellers couldn't even tell me if the external memory was SD or SDHC - turns out it takes SDHC

Looks like 7in iRobot, Rockchip 600 MhZ Processor + 600 Mhz DSP, 128 Mb Ram, Android 1.7.2 which seems to line up with '7" aPad RK2808' over on Slatedroid where they actually have custom 'RogerBraun' firmware for these puppies... But don't try flashing new firmware till you check further with folks that have been successful and ensure your tablet is the same...
