Help Picture Texts....

Sorry, im a smartphone noob. just got a Droid X 3 days ago. had a friend send me a couple picture texts and pic texts with songs. when i received them, it looked like a video "Play" button. i click it and the song plays. no pic on display. i go to save the sound and "save slide show" is the only option. when i do that, it says sound file saved to SD card and jpg saved to SD card. so.....there was no pic visible in the text but it was saved.....i dont get it. on my piece of crap LG EnV, i just open the text and the pic is displayed and the song automatically plays. save them seperately, no explanations needed. can anyone explain this to me?


then when i go to retrieve the pics and sounds, i can find the pics but dont know where my sounds save to?........not under ringtones.

nope, we are both Verizon. Her phone was an LG EnV touch

funny you mention that. i mess with my buddy's iphone and thats how his receives pic/vid messages.

now that you mention it, I'm not too sure. I haven't received a pic/audio message since I've had my X... Sorry. I'll hunt around to see if a friend has one he/she could send to me.

my plays the music first and then jump to the picture ... its weird!!

mm yes i used to have this problem too. my supermodel girlfriend keep sending me pics that only opened like you described. you can get around this by holding your finger over the dialog bubble that that picture is on, and then a menu will come up like view picture, save picture, whatever. you do view picture and then it'll display normal

I'm having the same problem. it either plays the sound first and then displays the picture, or plays the sound only like there isn't even a picture there. Actually, the picture in particular this time was a .gif with movement.
