I've done a fair amount of searching for boot animations (maybe I need to brush up on my searching skills) but I can't seem to find a good collection of boot animations. If people would be so kind as to upload vids of there custom boots and maybe some links to download that would be super fantastic of you! :D

I had my X on craigslist until they OC'd the 2.2 kernel

Lol! I still love my X...its an awesome phone...great call quality, faster than snot even when not overclocked, biggest and best screen (at least to me)...I'm not going anywhere (unless an X2 comes out soon--my son wants a smartphone and my line is the only one that's upgradable)...

Also, we know the machinations that went on with the Eris regarding root and 2.1...some things take a little time, eh? [good things will (eventually) come our way :D]

Thanks...good to know that the next generation is starting to show-up...although I thought people were shying away from LG (i.e., I've seen folks diss the Ally a lot).

So as not to stray too far off-topic here :)p), I am wondering how much more power our phones need (i.e., for must-have things like boot animations <--- see what I did there?--kept things on-topic! :D).

I'm pretty happy with my battery life and performance. I'm guessing that future performance improvements will be needed for better, smoother video support but they can't crank things up too far or battery life will suffer (its a balancing act). I know I want a dual-core, 2GHz phone, but do I really need one? ;)
