Help Unable to immediately click buttons on call screen after taking the phone away from ear!!

So when I am on the call screen, and want to hang up or pull the key pad to enter some numbers, sometimes it takes about 3 seconds for the screen to become responsive and those buttons to become press-able. I say 'sometimes' because many a times it just works outright and I can lower the phone from my face and tap the end call button and it works. But other times it can create situations where I want to hang up the phone immediately but cant. Does it happen with anyone else?? One reason for this could be bad proximity sensor, but if screen can light up on taking the phone away from ear, it means proximity sensor is working fine. Any solutions?

I dont have a solution but I also have the same problem i pull the phone to hang up the call and I have to hit it multiple times until finally it responds

Same exact problem with me, and it did it with all 3 Epics I've had and is doing it on the current one I have.

Maybe its because the person your on the phone with closed the phone first? Thats kinda what I noticed but I haven't tested it.

Maybe its because the person your on the phone with closed the phone first? Thats kinda what I noticed but I haven't tested it.

Yeah I kind of assumed that they had hung it up.

anyone figured out a cause for this? I thought it was just the other party had hung up but now I also have trouble when trying to enter numbers on the keypad when trying to select a menu option when on the phone.

One more guy with the same problem. It's particularly bad on the END button. It's a huge button, but it is completely unresponsive 9 out of 10 times.

Im having the same problem with mine. As soon as I pull the phone away from my face, it goes black. Then when I press power, the screen will only stay active for a few seconds or when I push a button it will go black again. Not just when Im ending a call, for instance checking a number or text while on a call. But since this doesnt always happen I have to assume its a bug.

Sounds like something is in the way of your proximity detector. Wipe it clean and see if that lets you hang up.

If you press the lock button it lights up the screen.

I think most of our issues arent with the screen lighting up. When i pull the phone away from my face the screen comes on fine the issue is that the buttons are unresponsive.

I have had the same problem as well. It kind of ruins the whole effect of hanging up on someone. I can still hear the telemarketer blabbing as I frantically try to push the end call button.
