Game looks good, but I won't go out and buy a PS3 just for it. I've had two PS3's in the past and I just don't like the system.

Somethings I think are funny/ridiculous:
-they have been working on it for what 5 years?
-All the mini vans in the game. There are like 4 Chevy Astro's I heard.
-Not all the cars have fully detailed interiors. Only a handful of them.
-I think they are putting to much into it. Circuit, rally, Nascar, and kart racing. Might even be missing some, plus 500ish cars.

Overall it better be the best racing sim ever since it's taking them so long to make it.

I always loved the GT series till 4 which had a great single player, but the multi-player really killed it for me. My room mate and I couldn't get our PS2's to connect for that game only, couldn't use a lot of the things on your cars such as TC or even racing tires if I remember for that much. I really think they need to implement the car customizing that Forza Motorsports has instead of the stupid things they had in the past such as car wash and oil change which are just a waste of code.

Any true racing fans here? GT5 has been pushed back from November 2nd to sometime in December :(.

But it is going to be worth the wait

Yes, it's been pushed back. And no, it won't be worth the wait. It's been 5 years since GT4 came out, and I'm past the point of caring honestly. I'll get it, but I won't be getting it launch day, and I won't be in a hurry to get it. Maybe I'll wait until it hits Greatest Hits status and the price comes down. Or maybe I'll get it for Christmas. Whatever, it won't be worth a 5 year wait.

I waited and waited for this game to come out since gt4. I have always been a fan of gran turismo over forza and other racing sims mainly for the licsence challenges and the Rally racing. It came time to buy a new console last year and I decided on 360 simply because GT5 was taking too long and thats the only game I reall really wanted. As it stands now I'll wait to see how user reviews turn out (after the torrent of fanboy and hater reviews after launch) and decide if I should get a PS3 then.

It's incredible. I have always loved the GT series, and this lives up to the hype. Worth every minute of the wait.

There will always be a handful of idiots that either "don't get it", and expect it to be a jump in arcade racer, or will think the wait has somehow devalued it's brilliance. Driving Monza or CoteDeAzure in a multitude of exotic (and non exotic) cars with realistic physics and modeling and draw dropping graphics is an amazing experience. GT has never been a 5 minute game, where you jump in a Ferarri and do all the tracks and then lose interest and move onto another game, it's about career building, starting in the lower ranks, driving normal racecars and then heading up the field with more more and better cars. Sure there is Arcade mode, but the real game is A-Spec.

It totally blows Forza3 out the water by a VERY long margin. Forza looks very dated by comparison, both graphically and physically.

Doing Nurburgring Nordschleife in the rain with fading daylight in a AMG Merc is an amazing experience.
