Well folks, it has happened, the x10 is now a FREE phone with a new contract (On WireFly and I'm sure there are others as well that sell online). Of course I contend this would not have happened if SE had done what they promised they would do back in the summer. I know, water under the bridge and all, but I needed to vent my lack of confidence with SE.. OK, I feel better now..

Thank You..........

Yeah, it seems that we in the USA always start out paying for the phones and as time goes by, we can some times get they for free. What I found interesting was the Captivate is still going for coin (Not free). They were headed to the free bin as well at one point, but than they listened to user concerns, and turned it around with GOOD customer service (Remember what that is Sony?).

Has anyone else been paying attention to what SE is saying on the slide while telling US about the 2.1 update? Check the after print and you'll see them telling everyone that they are working hard on their "FUTURE" phones that will have the ability to do what the phone was designed to do. Say hello to the X12! (Sorry for the rant, lol)

OPTUS here in Oz are now offering on a $49 Cap plan free also, but today I decided that I had waited long enough for the upgrade (that may or may not have fixed the in-call volume, my only issue).

I just signed up for a HTC DesireHD on Voda. $79 cap over 12 months with $800 calls per month, free calls to other Voda or 3 numbers, unlimited sms & mms Oz & international, 2GB of Data, $10 per month handset cost, $7.90 plan discount per month, $10 insurance + 3 months free.

So in total $91.09 per month for 9 months on a 12 month contract including the phone, calls + data & insurance.

Can't beat that I don't reckon ! Any work pays for it anyway !

Anyone want to buy an X10 ?
