Which battery life widget?

hey guys i just bought and installed WidgetLocker and must say that it rocks. But there is one thing i can't get to work. I'm trying to display my battery life on the lockscreen but the widget i have (BatteryLife by CurveFish) does not work. It just shows a depleted battery icon and says "loading" while it never does load. It works fine on my regular home screen but I'd like to have one that is compatible with WL too. Also... i have limited space on my current lockscreen, so my ideal battery widget would only take up 1x1 space. Is there such a thing?

Been using Battery Left since the day i got my phone and i LOVE it. Works great once you calibrate it (Fully charge battery then let it fully drain to 0%). And it displays accurate readings, not just every 10% like many battery apps. I've been using it in widget locker since i got that a few weeks ago. It's perfect addition to it

I have done the "to 0%" a couple times, and it's still showing about 30% less than system. I have drained 3 times already. Only an issue with my D2.

Any suggestions for a batt. widget that runs @ 1% or even 5% increments??

Well, actually, Battery Left has an "estimated %" -- which I presume is estimated percentage left based on your usage pattern. I think that's why the percentage you show is different than the system %. You can change the % on Battery Left to show System % instead of Estimated % in preferences. There are actually many settings in Battery Left you can set.

On my widget, I show
1) Time (e.g., 12:09am that the batt will be dead at)
2) under that, I have Hrs of battery left (eg. 9:05 = 9 hrs 5 mins left of battery life)
3) under that, I have System % (this matches up to almost any other system % battery app I've used)

In the Notification bar, I show
4) Estimated %

So a lot of info with one little app in 1x1 area

I know all about that. On my D1 it was flawless. I might be system = 90% and est. 83% (which is fine and understandable) When system hit 80% - the estimated would show the same or a point or two off.

With the D2, the system might show 80, but the est. is showing 54% for example and the accuracy is supposedly 100%.

I don't want to ditch it, but the estimated was always perfect on the D1, now it's WAY off.

Did you do a full charge and full discharge to calibrate? If it's 100% accurate, you probably did...Perhaps you need to do it again because something weird happened during calibration?

Have you tried Juice Plotter? It shows graphically how your phone is discharging (or charging) -- so the graph might show you visually what's happening during your phone usage that a simple # can't show.

same thing on the DX, it's way off. I just use the system % and the temp on my widget

Yep - begin calibration at full battery and drain it out to calibrate with regular use.
I have plotter too, and it's great, but the battery widget info has proven much more valuable to me.
Hmm - the DX has issues too, ok...

I use Gauge Battery, which works perfectly with Widget Locker and has a couple of really nice 1 x 1 Widgets.

Guage Battery reports in increments of 1%.

Bet not on a Droid X.

The Droid X system only reports battery percentage in 10% increments. To display 1% increments, the program has to have built in estimations.

I use BatteryTime Lite. I prefer using a 1x1 widget.

Battery Time Lite - I was looking for this because of the data provided.

Well, I think I (we) are SOL on the less than 10% increments. Any other insight into the DX and D2 in regards to this would be great.

Not sure, I've got a Nexus One, but I wouldn't be surprised if the widget has some built-in estimation regardless. And it has numerous 1x1 widgets plus larger sizes. I prefer it for the "guage" styles (like a speedometer).

Battery Indicator by Darshan Computing does it at 1% steps.

I could tell you like the speedo look based on the M3 engine in your sig
A side note - SpeedView does 0-60 as well as other calculations and is free
