Lock Android apps without impoliteness while others use your phone

In some social situations, you want to show off the interesting games, or any interesting apps to your friends. Then they always lend the phone to give it a try. At this moment, you start to worry that your secrets or confidential information are in Gmail, Messaging, facebook, Money Manager, and Calendar.

There is one interesting protection app called LockMyApps can help solve this embarrassment . After you start the service of LockMyApps, as your friend unexpectedly/intentionally open the sensitive apps, and then LockMyApps uses the stop or pause mechanism to protect these apps.

These apps seems to be broken, and won’t ask your friend what’s the password. So your friends may not know you have already intended to protect some apps if you hide the status icon.

Hi

Can anyone tell me if there is a lockable note app around. Im trying to sort out the dreaded Christmas list and tend to make notes as I remember them however my hubby peeks sometimes so want to hide things lol

There are a couple of apps I would consider, but I'm not sure they fit the bill exactly:

Evernote:

Evernote - Android app on AppBrain

This is a cloud based note service which allows you to create notes from all sorts, especially on a desktop PC client, but you need to create an account and the editing function on the phone is a bit limited. The beauty of this is that it syncs everything to the cloud so you can access the same information regardless of which device you use to access it. You can encrypt individual notes (ie. password protect them) on the desktop version, but I'm not sure how this translates on the phone app.

The other one worth considering is Keepass:

KeePassDroid - Android app on AppBrain

This is primarily designed for storing passwords, but I'm sure it could handle a Christmas card list as well. It's very secure (depending on the password you use!), but does not offer a facility to sync data to your desktop unless you use it conjunction with another application like Dropbox...

LockMyApps works well on froyo. It not only locks the apps, but performs like a broken app, ha...others won't think the apps have been locked

You can select tha apps you want to lock. If the app is selected, it appears a small icon in the left side.

Click Back button, it has two options to do:
*Save and Start Service

As you enter LockMyApps or Stop the service, you will be asked the password.
