Help Can I Use a Powermat to Charge a Bricked Droid X?

Powermat isn't any different than plugging the phone into the wall charger.

Not sure why you're worried about charging a bricked phone?

Well I would just go into the bootloader and plug my phone in via ian to the computer which I believe will charge it enough so u can flash the sbf

In order to unbrick it, the battery needs to be charged and you can't charge it through the USB port so I was curious if the powermat could be an option.

You can plug it into USB, and it will charge, then unbrick. Or, if you can't do it that way, get a Wall Charger for the battery off ebay for 5.00 charge the battery and ubrick that way.

How about you try to charge the battery in a Verizon store's display DX? If you explain your situation they'd probably let you do it. Just throwing out an idea...

If you mean the phone wont allow you to charge the battery while bricked, then no powermat won't help at all because it charges through the usb port.

I don't believe it's correct that you can't charge the battery while bricked though, if you get into the bootloader you should be able to charge it.

No there's a battery wall changer where it charges the battery only.

My powermat does not work with either mine or my friend's DX. Using the universal micro USB plug.

Bootloader restarts phone after less than a minute....

I accidentally bricked my phone too during a mod....the droid said the battery was at 20% when I started, but it died really fast....now I guess I gotta either keep unplugging it and going back into bootloader mode or find someone else with a droid to charge my battery....

I was hoping I'd find a quick work around to this.... I could hard wire a charging cord directly to the battery, but I was trying to avoid this.....last time I did this it worked a few times but then I think it fried the charger...
