If you torrent, read this. Major loss for for p2p networks.

Yep. But this sets a dangerous precedent.

?It does?

I don't know if they realize this but there's countless P2P sharing methods. All they seem to do is target the big one at the time. Every time they kill one, three more pop up. Limewire was so bloated with viruses two years ago it's a wonder it's still used anyways.

I'm more concerned about the Legal Precedent it sets. It makes it ten times easier now to shut down other P2P sharing options.

the comments at the bottom of that article are cracking me up

"wait.... limewire was still around?" lol

it was overloaded with spyware anyways, i'll keep sticking to torrents

This was my favourite:

What the RIAA should really be cracking down on is libraries. I can go to my local library and for free bring home CDs and DVDs and listen to them or watch them without paying anything. I can also go there and get books and read them without paying for them. Worse still is all this is funded by tax dollars from the town, state and feds. Is true!

agreed. First Napster, then limewire took over. There are plenty of options out there, and double agreed on the virus thing. It's why I stopped using limewire in the first place.

how good are these sites for movies. I get all my music off youtube rippers nowadays, but I'm looking for movie options.
