Root Tip for Myn's Warm TwoPointTwo Users

In my short rooting history, I have settled on using Myn's Warm TwoPointTwo ROM. I love nearly everything about the ROM with one exception. You may have noticed that when you zoom in on text (this forum, for instance), the words do not wrap the way they do on the stock ROM. This means unnecessary horizontal scrolling. The typical fix is to flash the stock fonts, but those are boring. The look of Myn's is part of the appeal, right?

Good news. You can flash any of the font packs located in this thread to restore the proper word wrap function. From what I have found, the Liberations Sans font is close to what comes with Myn's Warm TwoPointTwo. Hopefully someone finds this as beneficial as I have. If this is common knowledge, I apologize and will remove the thread.

You can install these font packs just like you would a ROM or kernel. Be sure to backup your current ROM and clear your caches.

I was about to comment that I have not had this problem with Myns RLS1, then I realized that I had flashed a font pack some time ago thus doing your fix.

Was this an issue in RLS1 that was corrected in RLS2? I downloaded the .zip for RLS2 today, but I think I'm going to take my phone into Sprint and swap it out before flashing, I have the "b" bright spot, and noticed today it is getting worse.

I haven't had this issue with the stock fonts that Myn provided.

If you are talking about flashing the stock fonts, then you are right, that should fix the problem. If you are saying that you didn't have a problem with the fonts that came loaded with Myn's ROM, then that is good. I wish I could have kept those fonts too, but I had issues and it didn't seem like I was alone.

I experienced the issue several times with both releases. It didn't happen every time but often on double tapping to zoom the words would not wrap. I flashed the stock fonts and the problem has ceased.

That is the easiest solution, but I like some of the other fonts. I just was letting Myn users know that you could still have different fonts while fixing the word wrap issue. It seems as tough almost any other font pack will cure the problem.

i installed TpT and all accompanied zips. do i still need to re-install swype to get it to work? or is flashing the zip enough? also anyone know what the
Official EVO HTC_IME (With arrows) is? is that the stock keyboard?

thanks
loving the look of this rom

If I recall, you will need to reinstall Swype, I think he only provides a new skin/theme for it. Don't take that as gospel because I don't use Swype, so I haven't tried it.

The HTC_IME (With arrows) is the stock keyboard.

i just installed TpT really loving the look and feel of it. find it much more interesting than bs 1.7 or fresh 3.2 just my opinion.

i see some of you flased to kings kernal #11, i still have stock TpT, any toughts on what Kings #11 adds?

When I flashed Kings#11, it seemed that it needed some time for the kernel to settle down. After about a minute after rebooting, it was non-fat butter smooth. Battery life is better than the stock kernel.

I unplugged the phone at 9am today and got back home at 6:30pm with ~36% battery left. This included some Doodle Jump, Dolphin Browser HD, a good few texts, wifi on and off when I needed it, and Pandora on the drive back, which lasted about 40minutes.

F.Y.I., I'm using the stock battery.
