I just got my Galaxy

Hi guys, as the title said I just got my samsung galaxy so i don't know what to do next , i mean like root it? or install firmwares, I know nothing about the galaxy, what would you guy recommend me to do and why? please! xD

and i read something about Galaxo whats that? i didn't get it.

And how can i boost my Galaxy performance ?

thank you guys!

All of the questions you asked are covered in various other topics. Here is a guide to rooting:

Just keep in mind that this is no magic pill to all performance problems. Rooting gives you access to the system, but you still need to know what you are doing. In the worst case scenario you could kill your device with root privileges (although, that requires some effort).

If you want performance, I recommend you try galaxo (there are various threads on this forum how to flash it, step by step).

In any case, have fun with your phone.. It has a lot of potential.

hi there

First of all i would say spend some time getting used to the phone.
out of the box its quite a refreshing phone to use without messing about with all this funky stuff like galaxo and rooting.
if you have problems take a look at the guides and faq's, especially the one regarding battery life and bluetooth.

you may after a week or so start wanting more from your device as you learn more about how it functions and what you want it to be able to do.
its at this point you want to look into rooting the phone so you can do more with it or adding the galaxo/galaxhero cooked rom to turn it into a beast

take your time though there is quite alot to the phone and android but you are in the right place where there is alot of helpfull people

EDIT: not a bad thing but chill on the Bold formatting txt, its a bit mental on the eyes lol

I agree with Rastaman-FB, I'd play around with the phone for a bit. I got mine a few months ago, but just rooted it this past week. Personally, this phone was very different from any of my previous phones, so it was helpful to spend that time getting used to it and figuring out what it is that I wanted from it. Then you can decide if you want to root it and play around with it. Besides, if you wait to root it and add ROMs like galaxo or galaxhero a while after you get the phone, it's like getting a whole new phone to play with all over again.

Very sound advice. I think my Galaxy Avant is enough for me right now, besides I don't have gobs of time to spend doing other stuff!! Thanks!!
