Help Auto Brightness problem

I always have my brightness at 100%. It just makes everything look better. If I'm going to buy a phone partly because it has a beautiful big screen, then I want that screen to look its best! I've had the phone on for about twelve hours and I've 76% left on the battery. Guess I'm just lucky with my battery life...

I did have it on 100% but I have sensitive eyes and it was too bright for me, so I needed to dim it

My 3G is always on, but I only turn on Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS when I need them - not that often if I'm honest, but I do switch to Wi-Fi when I get home in the evening and I have it set to turn off when the screen is off.

I also 'conditioned' the battery for about a week when I first got it, by doing a full discharge and a full recharge a few times. I still do this if I'm staying home and can afford to let it run dry. Some people say that this isn't necessary with newer batteries and they benefit more from regular charges, but I can't be sure. But the 'conditioning' seems to have worked for me and I definitely saw the difference in the battery after having done so.

question for these people that get 2-3 days out of battery

do you have data switched off ??

and what about friends ??

sorry but i can't get my battery to last that long so being curious

I have 3G and wifi turned on at all times, along with aGPS too, but I have had these settings since I got the phone, and as I mentioned earlier, it was lasting me over a full day, so i'm baffled as to why it merely lasts me 5 hours now

I'll check the battery graph later on and see the results of last nights charge, maybe there's a fault somewhere

Shame that the market doesn't allow you to sort apps by download date. Then you might have a cat in hells chance of working out which one you've got new or old one updated that is suddenly eating your battery.

I know, would be good. I would go through all my apps, but I have too many and tbh I can't really be bothered lol

OMG I have just found that option in the Appbrain app on my phone, you can sort by date! Me likes!

Just checked but it displays apps that I downloaded weeks ago, as being installed today

Maybe its because I debranded last night and re-installed using titanium backup.

O BTW, on a side note, I was on T-mobile branded firmware like you, I debranded last night and it's fantastic, finally I can silence my camera shutter LOL but I noticed a major increase in performance. Plus I backed up the T-Mobile TopApps app before I debranded, so I still have that installed now :)

sorry - how do i take pervy pics by uninstalling ebo birthday

Your Ebo app killed my phone :( sad face, I might download it again over the weekend on to the X8 and see what happens on that. But on the upside, your silent mode on your camera let you snap a pic of some poor drunken wretch laying on a bench somewhere! On no sorry that was my camera wasn't it!?
