My Epic Over Heated Today !! The Darn Birds Did It!

So Anyway I finally finished "The Angry Birds" but at the expense of overheating my poor Epic. So what happens is when the phone gets burning hot so hot I could smell HOT plastic over heating from the Zagg protector I have on the battery door . The screen goes black and a giant yellow triangle appears along with a BIG RED thermometer! Oops.

Sometimes I can use my epic for a long time and it would get hot, but never had a popup thermometer, at least I know I haven't overheated it... yet...

how long did you play the game???

I played that game for hours non-stop and never had mine overheat.

About two hours. I do have the Seidio active x case on it. I think the case helped hold in the heat.

Never had mine overheat but had it feel close once when using Google Navigation and surfing the web and texting (using Seidio Innocase)

that game is pretty cool .. the 5 yr old absolutely loves it ..... my game of choice lately is wordfeud, which by no means tests the amazing screen as its just lik scrabble but im hooked on that. i recommend it to those who like scrabble & dont know about it ...... #1 thing about it is if u cant finish a game bcuz u have no time the game will still be there later waiting & u play real humans. come get some request a game with me

Well, I am so hooked on the "Birds" and was so close to the end that I was just playing with such intention I never even noticed the thing getting hot and of course the case kept me from feeling the heat. As soon as the phone shut down I ripped the case off of it and tore it down to cool it off the battery was REALLY HOT. I reinstalled everything 20 minutes later and the phone booted up fine and seems to be working just fine.

I'm three stars away from finishing it. I've done some serious battery draining and have felt it get good and hot so I believe it could happen. Can't wait to be done with it so I can delete it

I got the overheat screen as well once lol! I was uploading a +600MB file to. My cousin's FTP over 4g while still using the phone normally. It got really hot lol. Once the phone came back on, I could not connect to 4g and thought I burned out my 4g antinna but that wasn't the case I soon found out when I tried to connect to 4g with my sister's epic. Simply down time lol, what a coincidence lol.

cool...seriously, that's pretty cool. i did not know that it has such indicator built in the device.

BTW, that game is hard.

plenty of apps...

i like a sense clock copy... "sense analog clock wdiget" it has a temp of phone.....and weather info... and a lot more mem info too.

I like it.

batteryminder is great, puts it on your notification bar when you pull it out

happened to me once while playing GT2 on Psx4Droid with the charger plugged in just popped the battery off and let it cool off. No problems since, just being more careful so that i don't melt my poor hummingbird.
