Help mms please help

Hello there, the messages are saved automatically on mine. There is no inbox, sent, drafts folders as perhaps you were used to. The texts are 'conversation' style so that you get to see the flow in a single thread per contact that has texted you.

It displays sent messages to the left of the screen and then the incoming returned message to the right of the screen. Mine are in two different shades of blue as well.

I also use the app Handcent SMS which is along the same lines but I prefer it visually and it is very customisable and has a few great extras with it too.

If you have any other queries with your phone, please ask!

You need to download an app called Handcent SMS which as a little added extra allows you to save MMS to your sd card. If this doesn't appear in your album try also downloading Astro file manager which lets you view your SD card and then you can edit, copy, paste, move etc to move the image to your image file then Album should show it.

Sorry I think I misunderstood the initial query.

OK the other things to check are that you have your MMS & Data setting ticked, Settings>Wireless Controls>Mobile Networks> Data Traffic and also that you have the correct MMS settings from your carrier. I had to spend 20 minutes or so on the phone to Tmobile UK last week when setting up my X8. The message would say downloading but nothing happened. It would let me send MMS but not receive.

Hope it helps and I've not confused the situation more. Let us know how you get on.

OK so I have just used my X10 to send my X8 a picture message. When the image is viewed via Handcent long press on the image and you should get a pop up with various options, select save to SD card and a tiny pop up says Image Saved (or words to that effect). Mine then appeared as the most recent image in my Album.

Thank you, glad you got there in the end!

If you long press the time widget and drag it to the dustbin that appears at the bottom of the screen that will get rid of it on your home screen but I don't think you can get rid of it on the lock screen.

I can't find this on the X8 but there is a free app called Picsay that lets you do all sorts of stuff. When you get it just press Menu More and transform image... something along those lines anyway. (Plus you can put little speech bubbles and banners and stars on things if your really, really want to:eek:)

also now i use handsent app everytime i get a text i have to go to handsent and the original inbox any way around this

Yes in the Settings>Sony Ericsson>Messaging untick notifications then you will only get the handcent one.
