Hi Everyone,

I just got my Inc on Friday and while I love the phone the battery is pathetic. I'm looking for an extended battery but have never bought one before so all the varities are confusing. I'm not looking to spend too much money (preferably under $30) and not interested in rolling the dice with a Hong Kong battery. I've seen these and they look good and definetely in my price range Batteries - HTCEXPRESS but can I still use my stock battery cover or will I need a new one?

As you can probably tell I'm clueless about after market extended batteries. If someone could point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks :)

edit: would like to add I'm not interested in the big 3500 batteries as I think they make the Inc look like a brick. I'm guessing I'll be in the 1750-2200 range so I can kind of keep the sleek, sexy, look to the Inc

I did use the search feature but there is varying reports on different batteries. Some swear by said battery others says said battery is awful.

I just ordered the 1800 from HTC Express based on some of the reviews listed in the "I just got the 1500 maH battery". It said 3-5 days for shipping I'm hoping I'll see it by weeks end. It came to 19.99 with tax and free shipping. It includes a wall charger and a red 1800 battery. As I said there were a lot of good reviews so I figured I'd take a 20 flyer on it. I'll report back my results If anyone would like me to

Pasting my review of the 1800maH red battery from HTC Express that I posted in a different battery thread...

I did receive my 1800 battery from ChiChiTek (HTC express) last night (Wednesday). I charged it overnight and popped it in my Inc when I woke up. It fits perfectly and there are no gaps at all. It gives a nice weight to the phone as well which I enjoy because it makes it feel sturdier in my hand. I put the new battery in at 12:00pm and now at 3:20pm 'm at 90% battery with normal use (few texts, surfing, playing with apps, played about 15-20 min of angry birds, checking emails) with mobil network or wifi on all the time and always sync on as well. I'm pretty amazed with this battery so far! Normally If I had a 100% charge and did everything I mentioned above with MN or WiFi and sync on I'd be at around 60-65% by now. If you're looking for a good, cheap battery and wall charger, I would HIGHLY reccomend the 1800 battery from HTC express. I can't wait to see how this responds after I've cycled it a few times and done a bump or two. Would like to thank Wicket for his great reviews on this battery without that I don't know If I would have ordered it.

Just to update: Roughly 4 hours since this original post and I'm at 68% with WiFi and Always Sync on, lots of surfing, emails, on the market, d/l apps, customizing my home screens and facebook/twitter for about 20 minutes combined. This battery has blown my mind!Especially considering this useage is "out of the box" on 1 charge and I'm not trying to conserve battery what-so-ever. Like I said, highly, highly, reccomend this to anyone who is looking for better battery life. I'm still in awe of what a good deal this was and what a great product it is. $19.99 w/ a wall charger, free shipping and in my hands 3 days after I ordered. Top notch service, IMO

Just to follow up on my battery results. It's been 23h 49m since unplugged and I'm still at 40% battery with WiFi or Mobile Network always on and the phone always syncing for updates. This is off one charge too. I'm not bragging by any means. I just want people to know this battery is the real deal. I'm still in shock that a $20 battery is delivering these kind of results. I couldn't be happier with this purchase

It's approaching 5 hours. FYI I'm still at 25% off it's first charge. I'm hoping I'll be able to make it to 12pm tomorrow before having to charge, which would make it a full 48 hours between charges! I'm literally in awe of the performance of this battery, especially because all these numbers are from 1 charge. I can only assume the performance will get better and better once I've charged it a few times.

Its going to be entirely up to you on what battery you like but I went with the HTC 2150 battery and cover upgrade that verizon sells at their stores. it is 59.99 but with my discount it was 45. I am so happy with this battery. I have read on multiple sites where the cheap knock off batterys actually cant hold up to their advertised capacity. I am able to go from 6am to 10pm off the charger with one bar left on the battery gage under settings. That is with getting 47% battery drain from signal searching. This is with moderate use, facebook, trillian, phone calls, texting you name it, used the phone like I want it is amazing.
The cover isn't as bad as you think but there is lack of cover options. I am working on a silicone cover mod that will cover most of the phone except the extended part through the back. ZAGG | invisibleSHIELD | iPhone, iPod Cases, Screen Protectors, Covers, Shields, Skins, Invisible Shield makes a extended battery cover cover. good way to protect your investment and be able to use your phone as you like instead of shutting off everything you like to save battery, which will still die way to soon.

Well, I was able to get over 48 hours out of my new battery :D Currently I'm at 2D 42M since unplugged and have 8% battery left. The crazy thing about these numbers is I wasn't trying to conserve battery life & these results are off the 1st charge! As I've said before this battery from ChiChiTek is the real deal & I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

This was their reply to my email.
"Good question, for one battery as you can see we are selling it for $19.99 and the charger is for $10, if customers want to purchase only the charger
we should have the "free" word remove , sorry about that
I will throw in another battery ( same 1800 mAh in white ) for you with your order.Just in hope that will make you a happier customer
Thank you
Have a great day"

I'm not really complaining, but I was wondering why the battery with the "free" charger costs 5 bucks more than the battery by itself.

Thanks

Chichitek is a very cool dude. I'm not surprised he threw something in to make you happy. I wish I would have ordered the 2 batteries and charger instead of the single battery/charger. That way I would always have one charged and could swap easily. I haven't even used my 1300 stock battery since this one came

I thought it was just my imagination, but I notice that after that last update, battery life is has decreased.

Nope, definitely not your imagination. My usage is very consistent on the weekdays at work and then at home. I updated on Monday night and the past 3 days my battery has drained A LOT faster than normal. Also noticed yesterday that I was 6% time without signal and that never happens when I'm at work or at home.
